Line Up: 1989
- of course, and supporting "1989" is a great new band
called "Last Call". It's only a two hour gig, but it will
be fantastic!
1989
are a new band on the scene, and they're amazing. The boys play
a style of music that harks back to the late 80's, which is when
they believe music was really great! They're a little bit like AC/DC,
a little bit like WolfMother, and a little bit like Queens of the
Stone Age... so if you love that style of 80's Rock and Alternative
music this is a night you're not going to want to miss.
Grab
your dancing shoes and get on down to the Youth Space to enjoy this
excellent night of music and entertainment. It's FREE! Make a night
of it with your friends, but please remember, ALL Youth Space events
are drug and alcohol free. Please respect the fact that we're a
youth and a family friendly environment and don't bring it, or
we'll be sicking our security guards on you and they'll be confiscating
your alcohol and asking you to leave.

Oh yeah! There definately was. "Working Together" was
the FIRST Youth Mental Health Summit to be held in over TEN YEARS!
Yep, hard to believe. TEN YEARS! So it was a pretty big dead. The
Redcliffe Area Youth Service worked together with the Youth Affairs
Network of Queensland (YANQ) and the Queensland Alliance to get
the event up and running, and there were a bunch of other organisations
who were part of the design of the Summit. It was a huge effort
on everyone's part. People were flown in from all over Queensland,
and we even had special guests from New Zealand, the Australian
Capital Territory, New South Wales, and South Australia! It was
a great day, and a lot of good will come from all the hard work.

rides, games for the kids, carols by glowstick, great food, and
Santa! You can't beat Santa! Xmas@RAYS was brought to you by the
