Hire Us

The Redcliffe Area Youth Space is a not-for-profit youth organisation that works with disadvantaged and marginalised young people between the ages of 10 and 24.  Our building also doubles as a venue that can now and again be hired by the public.

The building is owned by Moreton Bay Regional Council and leased to our organisation on a long term basis.

Programs run at the Youth Space throughout the week, and on occassions the venue will be used of a night and weekend for events.  When not in use, some of our rooms and the stage can be hired.

The Youth Space has two large training rooms, one medium sized meeting room, and a large outdoor amphitheatre area and open air, roofed stage.

Each of our rooms have names, so we'll describe them below for you.  If you're interested in hiring a room give us a call.  The schedule of costs will follow the room descriptions.  The Manager of our organisation has final say over how our building is used.

The Checkpoint Room

The Checkpoint Room is named after our flexible learning program and comfortably seats 20 people with tables but can, with the tables removed, seat 30 people.

The room comes with internet access (including Wi-Fi), six desktop computers, a whiteboard and projector screen and two kitchenettes.

The room has access to an outdoor "breakout space" surrounded by gardens designed by our young people.

The Youth Support Room

This room is where we normally do individual counselling and is set up with a small table, desk, two couches and contains a kitchenette and fridge.

The room has access to an outdoor, covered "breakout space" surrounded by gardens designed by our young people.

The room has Wi-Fi access.

The Get Set for Work Room

This room is named after our Get Set for Work training program and comfortably seats 30 people with tables, and can seat 40 people with the tables removed.

The room has a kitchenette, microwave, fridge, whiteboard, large screen television and DVD player.

The room had internet and Wi-Fi access.

The Training Wing

The East Wing of the Youth Space contains the Checkpoint room, Youth Support room and Get Set for Work room.  These rooms can be opened up to form one large "community hall" that can seat up to 80 people.

When joined together, the Training Wing has four kitchenettes, one large fridge, one smaller fridge, a wall mounted projector screen, two access points to the rear "breakout space", two whiteboards, one large screen television and DVD player, one smaller television, 12 desktop computers and numerous tressle tables and chairs.

Outdoor Stage and Amphitheatre Area

Our outdoor amphitheatre can seat up to 1,500 people and is sloped on a gentle gradient to enable good sightlines of performers on stage.

The covered stage is approximately 10 metres in length and 15 metres wide.

The Youth Space runs a number of band nights and large community events in our amphitheatre area, including RedROCK, the Redcliffe Hospital Foundation's Child Safety Family Fun Day and a variety of Youth Summits.

The Redcliffe Skate Park

The skate park is not linked to the Youth Space.  Council will usually consult with us around its use, but we have no ability to give permission for its use.

What Else Does The Building Have?

The Youth Space has disability access through it's main front entrance.

The building comes complete with a male and female toilet block, showers and cold water bubbler.  In addition there are male and female disabled access toilets at the front of the building.

The building has a large industrial kitchen.  This is on permanent hire to CONNECTIONS CATERING, an independent social enterprise that operates out of the Youth Space.

The Redcliffe Area Youth Space has three office spaces but we will not allow them to be hired at any time as these contain confidential client files.

The money earned through room hire goes back into the organisation to fund small youth engagement programs, events and general activities.
